The house is in a quiet residential neighborhood, yet a 2 min walk to Downtown Douglas. Easy access to downtown Douglas restaurants, shops, and art galleries.
Oval Beach (on Lake Michigan), one of the top fresh water beaches in the US, is a 7 min drive away.
Just cross the bridge and you are in Saugatuck, where you can enjoy additional art galleries, restaurants and shops.
Douglas Modern Villa is a large, newly built, 6 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom modern house, sits on a double city lot, with 4,000 sf of living space. Sleeps 15 people.
We decorated it in a modern style, that is still very functional and comfortable for families.
Our favorite features are the roof deck with water views, gourmet kitchen, and the game room with pool table, foosball, and darts.

Configuration: Douglas Modern Villa features three bedrooms on main/ground level, three in lower level. There is sleeping for 15, with no bunk beds. Four of the bedrooms have desks, so you can stay plugged in if desired.

NOTE FROM THE OWNERS
We personally use Douglas Modern Villa multiple times a year and take great care of it. This house from Saugatuck Vacation Rentals features modern furnishings, while maintaining a comfortable, feel consistent with the character of the house.
Our local property manager, Colleen, is very responsive and can address any questions/concerns about the house
RATES
Nightly Rates are $250 - $1,600 per night, 2-night minimum, holidays/peak may have higher rates
Weekly rates are between $2,200 - $11,000 /week depending on the time of year.
Weekly specials available between November and March, excluding holidays
To confirm your reservation, 50% of rental fees and a signed short-rental agreement must be received within 48 hours of booking; balance of rental fees and security deposit are due within 60 days of check-in.
HOUSE RULES
No pets allowed – no exceptions, some of our regular guests have severe pet allergies
No smoking
A short-term rental agreement must be signed to confirm the reservation
The principal renter must be over 30 years old, and be able to verify this with a valid government ID, upon request

“Our family was looking to get away during the pandemic madness. Alex’s house offered all the comforts of home, with a beautiful view and the perfect change of scenery. The kitchen/house were well stocked with everything you could need - all while fitting into a minimalistic clean style. Alex was very helpful and available anytime we needed him - which was a rare occurrence because everything was so thoughtfully organized and well labeled for our convenience. We loved our stay.”

“We loved our stay in Douglas! We are a discerning bunch, and our stay lived up to our expectations – and then some. The house felt brand new and was spotless, plus so beautifully decorated (lots of art, modern but homey touches, amazing gaming area with 3 large TVs and a pool/ foosball/ darts area = plenty of use with the kids!). The space fit our large group – 4 adults and 5 kids – with room to spare. The bedrooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-lit. The outdoor space was superb: we spent our afternoons on the rooftop patio overlooking the river and ate most of our dinners at the backyard table while the kids ran around. The indoor dining table and breakfast nook had plenty of space, too. The kitchen had everything we needed, with a great open layout and a surprising stock of kitchen gadgets and utensils (sharp knives!) to prepare our meals. We have been coming to the area for many years, and small touches really set this house apart vs. other rentals we have stayed at (immaculately clean and modern, everything well labeled, large TVs, Sonos audio system, nicely decorated, etc.). An easy walk to shops in downtown Douglas, and only a few minutes away from downtown Saugatuck by car. We would definitely come back!”

“Beautiful and modern home located within walking distance to downtown Douglas and a long dock perfect for fishing and launching off in kayaks. Super short drive to downtown Saugatuck and Oval Beach. We had a large group of six adults and six young kids and the check in was excellent and easy, kitchen was stocked with all we needed, lots of towels and comfy beds, and great upper deck and outdoor space to enjoy the beautiful Michigan evenings. We can’t wait to stay again!”
